Speaking further, Akpo informed that he had to swing into action immediately after the governor gave the directives to achieve the mandate given by the governor.

The new DG assured Cross Riverians that Ogoja and Obudu will soon feel the impact.

"Immediately his Excellency gave the directive less than 10 hours ago l and my team went straight to action to ensure we keep to the mandate of our dear working governor and that's why we have achieved this feat so quickly.

"I want to assure all Cross Riverians in line with the governor's directive, ogoja and Obudu will feel our impact soon." He added

The directive by the governor earlier today came with a mandate on the Special Adviser to ensure the immediate restoration of street lights in the state capital as well as in ogoja and Obudu pending the appointment of a new Director-General for the State Electrification Agency (SEA).

According to Special Adviser Eric Akpo, all the credits go to the governor as he made it happen following his directive.

Recall that the immediate past Director-General of the Agency, Stanley Nsemo had in line with the new electoral act resigned his appointment to contest for the state house of assembly election holding next year.
