Democracy Day: Otu Sends Message to C'Riverians

Senator Prince Bassey Otu has called for national unity and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians, particularly the people of Cross River State, as the state and Nation commemorates the 2022 Democracy Day.

He urged Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity to explore and promote ideas that strengthen the country's unity and peaceful coexistence.

In the last 23 years, our democracy has advanced by leaps and bounds, and Nigeria and Nigerians are deserving of applause.

This necessitates a renewed commitment to ideas that promote national unity and peaceful coexistence.

Our uninterrupted democracy since 1999 is proof of its overwhelming popularity and acceptance, as it has allowed everyone in our society to actively participate in choosing their leader.

I appeal to all Cross Riverians, Nigerians, and friends of our beloved country to join us in our efforts to strengthen democratic values and ensure that our people are active participants in the governing process.

As we approach the general elections in 2023, I urge young people to avoid vices that could lead to a state crisis. Let us unite and celebrate the triumph that our Heroes have bestowed upon us, he said
