Owan, Others Berates APC Reconciliation Moves

Some aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River state have expressed concern over the recently constituted reconciliation committee by the party.

Speaking in a Press Statement signed by his media team, Sen. John Owan said the move is laughable, suspicious and the committee is fictionalised, stating that the intention might be perfect, but the process is too tardy and inaccurately carried out.

The statement further explained that committees of such magnitude are constituted almost immediately to calm the discontented persons to avoid court subpoenas and others. The statement also faulted the governor's approval of the committee being a party affair and the governor is not a member of the State Working Committee of the party.

However, Sen. John Owan Enoh distance himself from the activities of the committee, stating that he is already in Court as he seeks to know whether or not Senator Otu was cleared and if he wasn't cleared, why did he unlawfully partake in the primary of 26th May 2022 and that our Principal Distinguished Senator John Owan Enoh be declared the winner after scoring the highest lawful votes in the primary election.

In like manner, expressing his thoughts also, Chief Obono Obla described the committee as a gathering of Ayade's loyalist that cannot inspire confidence, red herring, diversionary, and misplaced.

Obla who made this known in a social media post said he can't trust the committee to be an impartial and objective arbiter? Adding that there's no longer justice in Cross River APC, as reconciliation will only be possible when there is justice, and all members are treated equitably and equably and have access to all the spoils that accrue to members.
