Ember Months; Be Steadfast don't be swayed, DANSUKI encourages constituents

Ukorebi Esien | 01 September 2022

The member representing, Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo, has assured his constituents of his commitment to good governance, quality representation, and accountability.

The Lawmaker, popularly called "DANSUKI" made this known via his usual monthly message, which has since become a ritual. Asuquo reaffirmed that his party will put the country on the right pedestrian for the progressive movement.

He went ahead to dispel the fear of uncertainties usually associated with the "Ember" Months. He noted that the new month ushers in the beginning of rebirth as Nigerians are now awakened and politically conscious to take back their country.

The New Month Statement reads in part:

"It will be a rebirth because our political consciousness has been boosted by the ideology of our party (the Labour Party) calling on the entire citizenry to take back their country. I won't say there are no challenges or there won't be challenges as the political gladiators will once again exploit the weapon of hunger against the masses to skew the process to their advantage, but we are consoled by the general acceptability imprinted in the minds of Nigerians to get it right this time around.

I am happy that I was part of those that helped to sanitize our electoral process and with the BVAS we will make a difference this time.

Yes! I am contesting again, but this time, I am contesting for the senatorial position in Cross River South under the Labour Party. And in humility, sincerity of purpose, duty, and a total sense of commitment to bring the dividends of democracy to you in partnership, truth, and service.

Be assured of my commitment to the tenets of good governance, quality representation, and accountability.

Be steadfast and don't be swayed by the sugar-coated presentations you will be faced with beginning from this month because mostly it is always easier said than done, but be "Obidient and Yusuful" as this time, your labour will not be in vain.

Happy New Month and welcome to the dawn of a new beginning.

Sincerely yours,

Rt. Hon. (Ntufam) Daniel Asuquo

Member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency &

Senatorial Candidate of the Labour Party for Cross River South, 2023
